There is no live preview for this auction; preview and inspection of lots is online only.
We will have enhanced staffing for condition reports and additional photo requests. All requests for condition reports and/or photos must be received by 5pm Sunday, January 29th. For further information please call 203-266-0323. We strongly encourage all bidders to request Condition Reports and/or large file images for any lots of interest. Please see our Standard Terms & Conditions, as all lots are sold as is, where is, and there are no returns based on condition. Prospective buyers are entirely responsible for determining the physical condition of lots prior to and as a condition to bidding. Bidders are obligated to determine their level of interest in and value of the items based solely on their own review. To assist prospective bidders in this endeavor, recognizing that there is no physical inspection offered for this auction, we will provide written condition reports in response to emailed requests submitted at least two days prior to the auction as well as additional large file photos. The printed catalog lot information is a best-efforts presentation of our opinion, rendered on a time-sensitive schedule, and is provided for guidance only, without legal obligation, and does not constitute a "statement of fact". The absence of condition statements in a lot catalog entry does not mean that the item is in perfect condition or is without defects. Please understand that our duty is to present the items fairly for bidder consideration and that the bidder's duty is to make independent investigation of the condition of items before bidding.

Payment for lots purchased in this auction is due within seven calendar days (Tuesday, February 7th). Please note that there are restrictions on credit card payments applicable to selected lots (silver, gold and jewelry) in this sale for new bidders with our gallery. The lot descriptions clearly indicate which lots may not be paid by credit card. If you are a first-time bidder with us, please make arrangements in advance of the auction to pay by cash, bank check or wire transfer ($25 fee applies) if you are successful. Schwenke Auctioneers does not offer any in-house shipping and we do not ship. All shipping is outsourced. We strongly recommend that bidders contact The Country Postman prior to bidding to receive a shipping estimate. However, prior to February 7th items can be picked up BY CONFIRMED APPOINTMENT ONLY and only from the address indicated in your invoice. Thereafter, items can be picked up only from The Country Postman and must be claimed on or before February 24th or there will be transfer charges due as noted above.
