Stout Auctions of West Middlesex, PA is honored to have been selected to sell the train and toy collection from the estate of Ronald G. Johnson, TCA #68-2149. Part I of the collection will be sold on November 17, 2018 and additional auctions will be held in 2019, dates to be announced. The entire collection will be sold with no reserves.

Ron was a personal friend and I have many great memories of times we shared together as fellow collectors. It is with mixed feelings that I am bringing his collection to market. Ron Johnson had a real passion in assembling his amazing collection of trains and toys however more importantly to Ron were the friendships he developed and cherished over his lifetime of collecting. His collection is very diverse spanning the prewar and postwar eras. This high quality collection with emphasis on the original boxes features many manufacturers including; Lionel, Ives, American Flyer, Marx, Buddy L and others.

The toy train community will not be the same without Ron’s smile and warm engaging personality. He will be missed as a collector but more importantly as a genuine friend.

Please plan to attend this outstanding sale.  For more information please contact us at 724-528-1500 and email [email protected]. PLEASE CONTINUE TO CHECK BACK AS MORE LOTS WILL BE ADDED TO THE ONLINE CATALOG.

Condition: Rule No. 1 for grading: WE DO NOT TEST ANY ITEM TO OPERATE OR RUN. Although most items will operate nicely that we sell, we grade and sell only on the exterior appearance of the item, not on it's ability to operate or run. No exceptions to this rule. These are used toys and trains and in many cases decades old.

C1 Junk-parts value only
C2 Restoration required
C3 Poor- requires major body repair: heavily scratched, major rust, missing parts, major restoration candidate
C4 Fair-scratched: moderate, paint loss, dented, missing parts, surface rust, evidence of heavy use

C6 Very good: minor scratches and paint nicks, minor spots of surface rust, free of dents, may have minor parts replaced
C7 Excellent-all original: minute scratches and paint nicks, no rust, no missing parts, no distortion of component parts
C8 Like New-complete all original: No rust, no missing parts, may show affects of being on display and/or age, may have been run
