An antique 19th Century British Royal Engineers mourning pin brooch. The opulent rich cobalt blue enamel graces the 18K gold setting, accentuated by delicate rose-cut diamonds arranged in a foliate pattern. A British Major-General in the Royal Engineers (1783-1843). This historical museum piece is accompanied with a fitted leather-bound box, internally marked by the jeweler HUNT & ROSKELL, appointed Jewelers & Goldsmiths to the Queen and Royal Family.
